Sara Baras

Sara is one of the most well-known representatives of flamenco in the world today. Her artistic career began over 30 years ago and led her to perform in theatres all around the world. In 1998 she set up her own dance company, Ballet Flamenco Sara Baras. To date, she has put on 14 shows, all created and choreographed by herself: Sensaciones (Sensations); Cádiz-La Isla; Sueños (Dreams); Sueños de Sara (Sara’s Dreams); Juana la Loca; Mariana Pineda; Sabores (Flavours); Baras—Carreras; Carmen; Esencia (Essence); La Pepa; Medusa, la guardiana; Voces; and her brand-new show Sombras (Shadows).
