Eva Yerbabuena appeals again to duality as an expressive but reflective form in the end. Delving into two fundamentally opposite and complementary, but interconnected forces, the dancer and choreographer pounces on a maxim that is increasingly present in her creations: nothing exists in its pure state nor in absolute stilness.

Thus, and in a continuous conversion that is developed during the four parts or numbers into which Bright Dark is divided, Yerbabuena verifies the certainty of what she has always believed. And, as she herself defends,

“continuous transformation is a morbid provocation that not only exists, but also gives meaning to everything”.

That is why in this, her nineteenth show, she moves between the most absolute rigidity and resounding flexibility, between stilness and movement, light and darkness, between singing and dancing, classicism and avant-garde, craftsmanship and technology… to rethink what she already believed to be absolute and fixed.
