Dorantes in concert

In the bright Lebrija countryside in the south of the province of Seville, David Peña Dorantes is born in the bosom of a family which lives and feels, in the depths of their heart, the cante and music of Andalusia. Member of a legendary family which knew like no other how to express the feeling of the cantes of the South, with extraordinary musical culture, among his ancestors are numerous very significant figures in flamenco history. To mention a few: his grandmother María “La Perrata”; his father Pedro Peña; his uncle Juan Peña “El Lebrijano”; Fernanda and Bernarda de Utrera, Diego Carrasco, El Turronero, Pedro Bacán, Bambino, etc., his roots, for example, going back to the legendary Mercé La Serneta and Tomás “El Nitri”.
