Tomatito - Aguadulce

The dazzling Gypsy guitarist Tomatito is noted for his mastery of the compás and his elegant style. In his teens, he began a long partnership with singer Cameron de la Isla, which lasted until Cameron's death in 1992. Since then he has remained one of flamenco’s most highly regarded guitarists and received several Latin Grammy Awards for his solo work and his collaborations with jazz pianist Michel Camilo, as well as for Paris 1987, a historic live recording with Camarón.

Aguadulce, the title of Tomatito’s 2004 solo album, reflects the guitarist’s intention to return “home.” Named after the town he lives in, Aguadulce is a journey back to his roots. In concert he performance a spectrum of songs that reflect both the somber and festive sides of flamenco.
