Paseo de Gracia, the new album by Vicente Amigo is a varied, rhythmic album, filled with first class flamenco music, a record that shows a special attention to the high-quality melodies we find in Vicente Amigo’s guitar. These melodies make this album a recording with a one-of-a-kind expression, enriched with excellent arrangements that place it in a unique and different musical level. This is exquisite work that demonstrates great popularity while maintaining the essence of purity that has always shaped Vicente Amigo’s musical style. “This album shows a wide variety of melodies, and I see this project as a new musical adventure, as sometimes these new songs reached a place beyond flamenco music”, Vicente Amigo says. “Half of this record includes songs developed from the perspective of a flamenco artist, as that style is what I’ve known and enjoyed all my life. Now I’ve developed them in a different way, facing the challenge of singing them while using the guitar and wrapping them in harmonies I find very interesting”.

Produced by Vicente Amigo himself, Paseo de Gracia includes several first-class collaborations, including the full Morente family, led by patriarch Enrique and including siblings Estrella, Soleá and Enrique Jr. Next to them we find other stars such as Niña Pastori, Alejandro Sanz, Rafael de Utrera, Pedro Heredia, Miguel Ortega, José Parra, Lin and Nani Cortés, all of whom add their voices, their knowledge and their passion for flamenco music to this project. Other prestigious musicians also participated in this album, including Tino di Geraldo (drums and percussion), Antonio Ramos “Maca” (bass), Alexis Lefêvre (violin) and Paquito González (percussion), an amazing and talented array of stars.
