Canteca de Macao, from El Rastro of Madrid to New York at the hand of 10th Flamenco Festival

What is the result of mixing the most lively ska, the most dynamic reggae and the most explosive rumba? The answer is well known by the audiences that came over Highline Ballroom, New York, on 16th February to witness Canteca de Macao’s resounding success.

That night the band from Madrid had the chance to let its audiences from New York know its last album Agua pa la tierra as well as tracks of last previous ones; Cachai and Camino de la vida entera.

Thanks to their vibrant songs, the members of this “fusion” band manage to express the multiculturalism where they are coming from proving to the most cosmopolitan city of the world that Madrid is the best at organizing a proper “juerga”.

This event is part of X Festival Flamenco of USA from 6th to 23rd February with the nowadays-best flamenco talents.
