Dressed to Dance will be presented on February 8th at the Corcoran Gallery in Washington and on February 10th at the Guggenheim Museum
Dressed to dance is a dance show, produced by the Community of Madrid Culture Council, in which we will be able to see the cantaores and bailaores who take part in the 10th Edition of Flamenco Festival wearing outfits related to Spanish dance in two art museums: the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. and the Guggenheim Museum in New York. The outfits focus on flamenco’s relationship with the avant-garde, including clothes from seventy years ago designed by Picasso and Dalí. Eighteen artists dressed for the occasion will be in charge of the show: the María Pagés Company, Rocío Molina and Manuel Liñán, among others. The event will take place on Monday, February 8th at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. and on Wednesday, February 10th at the Guggenheim Museum in New York.
