Pastora Galván will be in charge of inaugurating the exhibit “Prohibido el Cante”

Pastora Galván will inaugurate this exhibit on February 5th at the Aperture Foundation in New York.

This exhibit shows us how photographers from different eras have approached the flamenco universe. Over 150 years of photographs, often taken by foreigners and not Spaniards, sketch out an association of flamenco with passion, exoticism, marginalization, melancholy, deviation, excess and sexuality. The exhibit will take place February 5th to April 1st at the Aperture Gallery and at the Amsterd Yard Gallery of the Cervantes Institute. This exhibit is presented by the Cervantes Institute of New York.
