THE XXI EDITION OF THE FLAMENCO FESTIVAL NEW YORK CONCLUDES WITH MORE THAN 16,000 SPECTATORS
The XXI edition of the Flamenco Festival New York has been unforgettable, an overwhelming success with critics and audiences that has passed through fantastic theaters in New York, Miami and Washington D.C.The balance of the XXI edition of the Flamenco Festival New York shows some data that give us impetus and motivation to continue another year. The festival concludes after having welcomed more than 16,000 spectators to its performances, with an average occupancy rate of 90 percent. Almost half of the 19 performances, which have been staged in first class venues in New York, Miami and Washington D.C., have been 'sold out'.
AN ENTHUSIASTIC PUBLIC
The audience response has been another highlight of the event. In all the shows the attendees have shown overflowing affection and enthusiasm, always ending up on their feet and cheering. The audience that filled the halls was heterogeneous, ranging from young flamenco lovers who came to the festival for the first time, to veterans faithful to their annual appointment.
Flamenco Festival New York has established itself as one of the most prestigious festivals worldwide, with its 21 editions, with performances such as Riqueni, considered one of the great masters of flamenco guitar, the dancer Sara Baras or the new wave of flamenco already consolidated as 'El Mati'.
These names have been joined by Antonio Rey, Irene Lozano 'La Chiqui', Emilio Solla and Antonio Lizana, and Diego Villegas. In total, taking into account the previous editions, Flamenco Festival has offered more than 1,300 performances and presented more than 160 companies in 101 cities and 160 venues around the world, with the great names of flamenco in the last 20 years such as Miguel Poveda, Eva Yerbabuena, Estrella Morente, Carmen Linares, Manuel Liñán, María Terremoto and Tomatito.
In addition, the date for the celebration of the new edition of Flamenco Festival New York 2024 has already been announced, to be held from February 26 to March 20.

Throughout its 20 years of history, Flamenco Festival has taken over almost the entire world, having presence in 101 cities, presenting 129 companies, 1.225 shows and an audience of over 1,600.000 people.
