Multi-instrumentalist Diego Villegas presents his new project “Cinco”, a compilation of experiences and inspirations that the artist from Sanlúcar de Barrameda has had on each of his travels around the five continents.
Five are the instruments that, on this occasion, Diego will use as a link between flamenco and the five musical styles that serve as inspiration for this album. His flute will transport us to the most spiritual East. The most Moorish Clarinet will remind us of the smell of spices in the streets of the Middle East. His Soprano Saxophone will transport us to his childhood, a childhood spent listening to classical composers such as Debussy or Mozart. A porteño harmonica, at the same time flamenco, that will make us feel that we are strolling through the streets of Buenos Aires. And a broken and heartbreaking Tenor Saxophone, that will take us deep into the most African America sounds and that, serves as a tribute to those who fought and, unfortunately, continue to fight for equality between Humans.
Diego Villegas (flute, clarinet, soprano saxophone, tenor saxophone, harmonica)
Keko Baldomero (guitar)
El Pájaro (percussion)
