Flamenco Meets Jazz

Featuring Yotam Silberstein Guest artist: Celia Flores This program is a creative collaboration showcasing two extraordinary instrumentalists from the beloved musical traditions of flamenco and jazz. Rycardo Moreno, the leader of a new Spanish guitar generation, will join Israeli Yotam Silberstein, regarded as one of the most innovative jazz guitarists in the New York scene. This inventive program explores new musical horizons while celebrating the heritage of flamenco and jazz. This programme will be made up of pieces by the two guitarists, chosen mainly from Yotam’s recently released album “Universos” and from Rycardo’s latest work “Mi Esencia”, to be shared by letting the other one be carried away by his own musical background. The duo will be joined by singer Celia Flores. Daughter of two flamenco celebrities, dancer Antonio Gades and legendary actress and singer Pepa Flores ‘Marisol’, Celia’s sound has a strong foundation in flamenco but with influences from jazz and blues.
