Delving into two fundamentally opposite and complementary, but interconnected, forces, the dancer and choreographer pounces on a maxim that is increasingly present in her creations: nothing exists in its pure state nor in absolute stillness.Thus, and in a continuous conversion that is developed during the four parts or numbers into which bright dark is divided, Yerbabuena verifies the certainty of what she has always believed. And, as she herself defends, “continuous transformation is a morbid provocationthat not only exists, but also gives meaning to everything.”That is why in this, her nineteenth show, she moves between the most absolute rigidity and resounding flexibility, between stillness and movement, light and darkness, between singing and dancing, classicism and avant-garde, craftsmanship and technology... to rethink what she already believed to be absolute and fixed.That is why she rejects modernity to immerse herself in it. That is why she tramples on structures to enhance them.
